The College of Humanities and Social Sciences at Chaoyang University of Technology held an International Music Education Workshop on August 23, 2025, inviting Mr. Markku Kaikkonen, Director of the Resonaari Music Education Center in Finland, to share the FigureNotes teaching method, attracting joint participation from high school, vocational, and the College’s four departments. Both Mr. Kaikkonen and Dean Liza Lee have served as Chairs of the ISME Commission on Music in Special Education, Music Therapy, and Music Medicine. On this occasion, the MOU between Resonaari and the College was renewed, further deepening bilateral exchange. The workshop integrated the expertise of the Departments of Communication Arts, Applied English, Social Work, and Early Childhood Development and Education, showcasing the diverse applications of FigureNotes in education. It highlighted the spirit of internationalization combined with local engagement, expanded interdisciplinary collaboration, and fostered students’ global perspectives, opening new opportunities for humanities education.
